About Us "Whoever
said... You can't buy happiness, never had a puppy."
The Hoggan Family loves their fur-babies, they view them as part of the family, not just a pet. They give their fur-babies all the love, care and attention they need or want. “We love to spend our time working in our garden, being outside playing sports, and most of all playing with our fur-babies.” The Hoggan’s live on the east bench of River Heights, UT. Nestled at the base of the beautiful Rocky Mountains! Let us give you a little background information about The Hoggan Family and the breeder support group, which will answer a lot of your questions. It all started with Jillian’s father growing up with an immense love for animals, leading to 50 years of international dog experience. When Jillian was a little girl her father brought home a Shiba Inu from Japan. This was way before the breed was ever recognized by AKC (until about 15+ years ago). Jillian fell in love with the breed and wanted to become more involved in the dog world. She began All Breed Showing and Specialty Showing, which introduced her to hundreds of people and all the unique breeds in the world. Living in a very small town most dogs in the area are hunting dogs such as Labs or Golden Retrievers, which made it difficult for people wanting something else. Once people knew The Hoggan Family was involved in the dog world and that they had access to many other breeds of dogs, people began to ask their help find certain breeds they were looking for. Helping people became a huge success and now they have breeders asking them to help place their puppies in loving homes. Jillian came to realize that a lot of breeds where hard to find in some areas and more popular in others. This is when the breeder support group was formed. The group has rules, regulations and a breeder code of ethics. Such as, you can only have 1-3 different dog breeds. If you choose to breed; no puppy is bred any sooner then 2 years of age and no later then 5 years of age. A Dam is only bred every other cycle to every third cycle. If any parent shows any sign of genetic defect they are spayed or neutered. They feel a puppy should be fully developed, socially and physically before being placed in his or her new home. Through our commitment, experience, and expertise Loveable Puppies has made friendships with many of our clients that will last a lifetime!
